Book Review: Infestation

★★★★☆ – 4 stars out of 5

Stay alive. Don’t get caught. Gabbi is a tough street kid who finds little difference between her life in the apocalypse versus her life before. Taking a step back we see what unfolded while Corrina was stuck inside Cal Expo in the previous book (Contamination) and it isn’t much prettier. Gabbi and Maibe must find a way to get the rest of the group out while fighting back their memory-rushes, the Vs coming after them, and the Feebs they encounter.

Since the beginning of the second book, I was really looking forward to hearing the story from Gabbi’s perspective and this book did just that. A girl with such a dark past, struggling through the apocalypse, possibly losing the ones she relies on most while keeping young Maibe alive. Each book in the series is better than the last and this book is no different. Full of suspense, you’re left rooting for the runaway group, flipping through the pages as quickly as possible to find out what happens next. I don’t have enough words to express how much I enjoy this series and I can’t wait to read the next one.

I highly recommend this book/series to anyone who enjoys the genres of YA and post-apocalypse/ zombie.

Please note: I received this book in return for my honest opinion as part of the author’s launch team. Want to learn more and get in on this awesome series before the end:
